My practice explores painting, specifically in the medium of acrylic on canvas. I mainly focus my practice on the relationship between confessional conversations and autobiographical experiences.
The style of my practice is expressing a developed and self-aware structured composition that explores a sense of tension and ambiguity, using jarring colour palettes and playful presentation of text and objects.
Throughout the past four years I have directed my work to take on various forms intended to challenge specific palettes, simplified metaphoric objects, and conversational texts; often having the text closely associated with the title to challenge conceptual understandings of the situation I am articulating.
